About Me I am a Dancer who happens to be in love with photography. Being an artist myself, I fully understand just how hard, and expensive, it is to get the pictures needed to audition. My goal is to take professional quality photographs at amateur prices to enable other artists, like myself, to get one step closer to success. I found the following quote in a book about a woman I greatly admire, Audrey Hepburn. "Success is liking yourself, liking what you do, and liking how you do it." This quote means a lot to me because it so strongly applies to artist, especially dancers. Dancers are so frequently thought of in grouped stereotypes, such a thin ballerinas, tan ballroom dancers, and doll-like Broadways stars to name a few. I aim to break these stereotypes by depicting the true dancers of today. These dancers aren't textbook, but they love what they do and have a passion that reads through in photographs as an attractive quality. My photo-shoots are done in a very casual fashion and it can be expected that I will do my best to get to know you in order to produce the most honest photograph possible. I am not interested in outer beauty, but am more interested in who you are as an artist . Headshots are $200, body photographs vary on the project, and discounted combination packages are offered for both. Those with a STEPS on Broadway Class Card also receive a 10% discount. Retouching and headshot formatting is also available for a variable fee. You can choose an unlimited amount of photographs and will receive on one CD.
The Space Photographs are taken in a member-based artist co-op named 3rd Ward. Depending on the job, you will find yourself in one of three gorgeous studios. All studios have a 13'9" ceiling height. Space can be booked up to 7 days in advance for as short as 4 hours and as long as 8 hours. Directions The space is located at 195 Morgan Ave. To get here: Via Metro: Take the L to Grand St, then walk east on Grand to Morgan. Take a right on Morgan, and you will find it between Meadow and Stagg on your right. Via Bus: Take either the Q54 or Q59 bus to Grand St. at Morgan Ave. and walk South on Morgan. Or take the B13 to Stagg St. & Bushwick Ave. and walk East on Stagg until you reach Morgan. Via Car: * From the BQE (I-278), exit on Meeker Avenue and take a left onto Morgan Avenue. For those of you who I have already had the honor of working with, you can view your photographs online. Just simply click on the link below, find your album, and enter in your given password when prompted.
